Do you enjoy working with a complex tech stack and taking on challenges on different levels? Wanna join a cutting edge tech company in autonomous drive, take part and shape the future – with the ultimate goal to help save millions of lives? We’re looking for a driven and fun loving software engineer that wants to work with a bunch of really nice, humble and highly skilled individuals that prefers to work as an awesome team and not a band of ninjas. If this sounds appealing, then we have what you’re looking for!
Insights from the team
We spear head integration in terms of concepts, architecture and tooling. Join us and be part of a team where it is possible to have a large impact on the product and company.
Prior C++ experience is highly preferable, but the most important thing is your mindset and willingness to pick up new skills and ability to solve problems. We work according to agile practices with dailys, refinements and retros but the team has the freedom to tailor it according to the best fit, we do not believe in a “one size fits all” mentality.
Your mission and day-to-day tasks
You will work with diverse topics. Both in terms of technologies with C++, Bazel, Cuda, and Python as well as in many parts of the code base. The team works on many different abstraction levels, from implementing multi-threaded code or C++ template metaprogramming to working with the product architecture and designing APIs and tools for other developers.
We looking for you who enjoy to work on different levels and a variety of challenges. And that has the drive to make things happen in a sometimes fast changing environment.
Qualifications & experiences
Essential:
- C++ programming experience. Languages like Python and CUDA are also meriting.
- B.Sc, M.Sc, Computer engineering or equivalent education/work experience
- You have worked with large code-bases.
- The capability to take a step back from details to see the holistic picture and what needs to be prioritized for the greater good of the team, company and our customers.
- A team-player, who loves to share and involve others in finding the right solution.
Nice-to-have:
- Software engineering experience in an industrial scale.
- Working and developing software in a Linux environment
- Familiar with tools like Bazel, GIT, Jenkins and Jira.
- Safety critical software.
We are open to both junior and senior candidates, it is your drive and attitude that is key to us. Your prime characteristic is your ability to zoom in on the details and out to the larger view and know how they connect. If you’re a really sharp developer but do not have previous experience of C++ we still would like to hear from you.

More about Zenseact
Zenseact’s purpose is to make safe and intelligent mobility real, for everyone, everywhere. We develop the complete software stack for ADAS and AD, from sensing to actuation. Our focus is to build a single cutting-edge software platform in order to serve various levels of autonomy and offer unequaled scalability at the same time. We operate out of Gothenburg, Sweden and Shanghai, China. Zenseact’s first self-driving deployment will be launched on the next-generation vehicle platform from Volvo Cars.
Self-driving cars, when real, is estimated to reduce fatal car accidents with more than 85%, saving more than 50,000 persons from dying in car accidents caused by human errors each year. We feel that is a goal worth pursuing.
But technology, software, tools and datasets would not mean much without the best people behind the wheel to drive them. At Zenseact, some five hundred of the best engineering minds globally, stationed across two continents, are collaborating with the same passion: to bring autonomous driving to the streets for real and create a safer journey for everyone. This is part of our culture and how we work, develop and grow together.
Zenseact works proactively to create a culture of diversity and inclusion, where individual differences are appreciated and respected. To drive innovation we see diversity as an asset, which means we value and respect differences in gender, race, ethnicity, religion or other belief, disability, sexual orientation or age etc.
Interviews are held on a continuous basis, so we highly recommend that you submit your application at your earliest convenience.
